The staff was keen to co-operate but exams precluded any such presentation at times other than the beginning or end of a term. It was held over to enable the headmaster to confer with the staff. The headmasters re[*ort stated the roll to be: Primary 275, secondary 55. Routine maintenance work was put in hand ami the purchase of materials authorised, where same are obtainable. Members were of tbe opinion that a new mower was required, an electric one being most desirable as this school had mor e lawn than any other in Wairarapa. The headmvstcr said that with the old one in use he had to keep it in operation five days a week at times and simply dreaded a breakdown. The question is rathe a hardy annual and will crop up again.
