CHEESEMAKERS ESSENTIAL
DAIRY FACTORY APPEALS “Any sane and sensible factory manager is arranging staff now,' declared Mr J. G. Brechin before the Manpower Committee, when some dairy factory cases were under review, “A factory putting out 400 tons with a staff of seven is not anxious to lose a capable third assistant,” said Mr Brechin. “One of the men is on leave at the moment but he will be required by August. We simply have to appeal for them.” Ivan Douglas McNutt and James Landreth, cheesemakers, were the men concerned in this adjournment, and appellant was Hamua Dairy Company on grounds of public interest.
