It was officially stated this morning in a survey of the Battle of th Atlantic that British shipping losses for August were only a third of those inflicted on Axis shipping during tr.e same period

Another success against an enemy convoy was recorded last night when a 4000-ton supply ship was sunk in the Channel and a 3000-ton suppßship and an E-boat were badly damaged and probably sunk.
