GENERAL SITUATION An anti-cyplone still extends from the north Tasman Sea on to northern New Zealand, but has lost intensity. A fresh depression is moving rapidly from the south Tasman Sea on to the South Island. Forecast: Moderate to strong west to north-west winds reaching gala force in places. Weather fair, temperatures moderate, seas rather rough to rough.
