RETAIL OF ICE CREAM
FEE FOR TEMPORARY
LICENSES
Following the granting ol a licence for the retail of ice cream to the Pahiatua Lawn Tennis Club, the fixing of a fee for such temporary licence was approved by the Borough Council on Monday night. Mk It was pointed out that the charge was £l, but as in this ca.' * it had been for only two days at New Year, the fee had to 10s. The Mayor suggested that in cases such as these a motion might be passed reducing the lee lor a temporary licence. There was only one fee in force at present, that of £] for a permanent licence. It was decided that in future 2s 6d per day be the fee for a temporary licence for the sale or icecream, and also that the Tennis Club’s payment of 10s be accepted in payment of two years’ fees.
