This decision, will involve the exploitation of. extensive asbestos del>osits n Takakn Valiev in tin* mountainous district at the far northern tip of the South Island. The Minister of Industries ami Commerce (Hon. I). G. Sullivan! stated in an interview to-day that th* Bureau of Industry had granted to two eompanes a license t » manufacture asbestos cement and it was probable that at feast one of them would be in production before very long.
