A FAREWELL EVENING
HELD AT KAITAWA A very pieasant c'cning was held at tlie residence of Mr and Mr* V. Booth, Kaitnwa. on Wednesday, to hid farewell to Mr Booth's nephew, Mr Charlie Booth, who is l ©turning home to Sydney by the s.j* Awatea on Friday. Visitors were present from Ruawliata. Mangatainoka. Pahiatua and surrounding districts. Dancing, singing and card playing was the order of the evening I'ho Monte Carlo was won by Mrs W. Davenport and Mr S. Booth and the 500 card tournament by Mr s W Davenport and Mr \\ Pea Jes. The lucky spot was won by the guest of the evening, Mr Chas. Booth and Miss Mildred Booth. After supper was partaken of the health ot the guest of the evening was drank and duly responded to. The eve tiing was brough* to a close in tin e.vri>- hours of th© morning bv singing "Auld T.aug Svne’’ and "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow.” and the best wishes for :i safe trip home was tang out * hy all. 1
