Ail Oddfellows are reminded of the special meeting to-night at tht Masonic Hall. A very slight earthquake was feltin Pahiatua. this morning at approximately' 7.30 a.m. Mr Yal Baker, foimerly of Pahiatua and now a resident of NVoodvillc, has donated a silver cup To the Bush Boxing Association. The winner of the box of chocolates raffled by the Konini Basketball club was Miss Shirley Buriace. of Woodville. The Athletic Basketball team lor Monday night’s play is as follows: Pat Devonshire, Madge Richardson, Betty Paget, Joan Murch, Hope Paget, Lorna Hewitt., Nola Murch, Ream Kershaw and Pat Phillips.
An interesting relic connected with Stanley’s finding of the great missionary Livingstone in centre of Africa, will be shown at the service for missions to he held in St. Paul’s church to-morrow at 11 a.m. Settlers at Nireaba are advisee* that the service there will bo a.t 2 p.m. tho usual hour. Tlu> evening subject at St. Pauls will lx "The’ Approaching Release.” This is the last Sunday jn the Presbyterian Church year and all members are requested to leturn, offerings, etc., before the 30th June to Mr S H. Wheeler, treesureax, Ballance.
