WEDDING MIX-UP
ELOPED BRIDE S PLACE TAKEN BY SISTER. An ox and several sheep had been killed and roasted for the wedding feast of Darinka Ruzhichitch and Stanislav Margovitch, in the village of Pirorman in Serbia, and the guests had already begun to assemble, as is the local custom, on the eve of the wedding day, when it was discovered that the bride, Darinka, hfd eloped with an old flame, Ostoye Milenkovitch. Nevertheless, the banqtiet duly took place amid general rejoicings. Hasty negotiations between the two families led to the marriage, the next day, of Darinka’s younger and prettier sister, to Stanislav, and both parties are now declared to be happy.
