In the House of Commons, the Prime Minister, Mr. Neville Chamberlain referred to Mr. Cordell Hull’s recent statement that the United States was prepared to join other nations in moving resolutely towards bringing about an effective agreement on limitatjpn and a progressive reduction in armaments. Mr. Chamberlain added: “As 1 have already stated, Britain is 7n full agreement with These sentiments, and will neglect no suitable opportunity of co-operating with the United States and other Governments to attain these dbjects.” In reply to a supplementary question. Mr. Chamberlain remarked: “It any invitation is addressed to us by the United States we shall certainly respond to it.”
