PRETTY MORNING WEDDING

JOH N SON— K N OX. A pretty -noriiing wedding of widespread interest, took place at St. Paul’s Church. Feilding, on Wednesdav, June 15. when Jean Dorothy, eldest daughter ol Mr and Mrs Robt. Knox, of John’s road, Kii .bolton, was married to Roy Millett, second soil ot Mr and Nils J. Johnson, or Maknri. The ceremony was performed bv tire Rev Hudson, oi Apiti, an I Nil- Mathesvui officiated at the ugaii. The bride who was escorted by her father, looked very sweet in her graceful gown of ivory satin cut on Grecian lines with long fitting sleeves and lace mcdalli.m yoke. Her long train was finished with insets ol lace medallions. A lovely embroidered, net veil with cap and high halo of orange blossom addcxl the finishing touch ’to the ensemble and she carried a sheaf of spring flowers and. heather. He r four sisters were ’maids Amelia (chief) chose maize embossed marocain and silver shot s ; Margaret and Mabel wore pale blue crepe-de-chine and Naideiie wore white satin. All four carried posies of autuir.ntinted flower-’ and ribbons to match, the* artistic work of Mrs W. Scott, of Kim bo] ton. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr frank Jennings, of Maknri. and Air Keith Knox, brother of the bride, was groomsman The reception was held, at Carlton tea ’coins ,pride of place on the bride’s tabic being given to tin beautiful three-tiered cake made and iced hv Mr Law ranee, of Kimbolton. Tin guests wefe received by the bride's mother, win- wore a floral silk frock under a black coat with matching hat and carried a posy of red shaded flowers and green foliage. Assisting lier was the bridegroom’s mother in a green and black ensemble and posy to tone.

When the happy couple left amid showers of confetti for a, honeymoon in the north, the bride was wearing a nigger brown costume, a fe*lt hat, eye-veil and accessories to match. The presents were numeious and costly including several cheques. Mr and Airs Johnson’s future home l ! will be in Marion.
