LERIDA EVACUATED

FRANCO ISSUES WARNING (Received 12.10 p.m.) United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Cop v ri gh t. SARAGOSSA'March 29. Insurgent airman report large scale evacuation and great confusion in Lerida. Although it was thought the Government troops had set fire to the entire town it was found that the blaze was confined to the petrol stores. General Franco has issued a statement “We are opposed to using force and do not want to increase the rivers of blood but if the people in the enemy zone do not re-act against their oppressors we will be obliged hard-heartedly to take Lerida, Barcelona, Valencia and anything else necessary to win the war.”
