On Saturday evening a mysterious mislsa] occur red where a ramp is being constructed over th< railway line between Woodvillc and the Alanawatu Gorge. What actually happened is not known, but the car. when discovered. wits lying in a hollow on the side o: the* road with fairlv lengthy skid marks showing Its driver. John Alexander Wilson, aged 40. a cleik. employed .at tire Woodvillc Railway station was taken to the Pahiatua hospital but he failed to recover from the injuries he received and died yesterday.
