At last night’s meeting of the Pahiatua District High School committee the appointment ol Airs. McQuilkin, sole teacher at Ruawhata, to the position of infant mistress in succession to Miss McKittrick was unanimously confirmed, members expressing the opinion that the lady in question would prove a very able teacher.
The next meeting of the Pahiatua School Committee will be the last of their term of office, the, the householders election being set down for Monday May 2. When mentioning this matter last night the chairman (Mr. G. Godfrey Taylor, who incidental !v does not intend to seek office for a further term), appealed to members of the committee to endeavour to induce more parents to attend the meeting.
