JOE LOUIS REACTS.
TO FIGHT POSTPONEMENT. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. NEW YORE, August 26. The postponement of the fight has intensified interest. The boxers have returned to their camps. Farr, still bursting with optimism, said: “J will lick this fellow, even if he is a strou.g favourite.’’ Sporting writers do not share Ins confidence hut an increasing number counsel Louis th.it an early knockout is desirable. After examining Farr and Louis, the Athletic Commission’s physician declared, that Louis showed more nervous reactions than Farr. He said the* postponement of the fight was liable to affect the negro’s fighting. A sudden flurry of wagering, which previously was virtually non-existent, is reported, indicating that there is some belief that Farr lias been underrated. and also a desire to* take advantage of the long odds. Considerable comment has been aroused by a. radio speech in which the ex-champion Gene Tunney predicted that Loius would knock out Farr in the filth round.
