PAHIATUA GOLF CLUB.
NEW COURSE plans; At Monday night's committee meeting new members elected were Miss L. Noble. Messrs H. K. Mann and V. Levy. The committee have decided on a completely new lay-out for a. 9-hole course and have combined with the Pahiatua Dawn Tennis Club in engaging the services of Mr Kemp, as. permanent groundsman. Mr Kemp was previously- employed by the Papua ta Golf Club (Dann.evirke) and has had valuable experience in the making of greens. PLj is making a start on the new course immediately. During tin summer months Mr Kemp will be groundsman for the Tennis Club which will be great news to tennis enthusiasts. The new layout for the golf course is most interesting and each hole has something to make the player think before he hits. The fairways are well apart with practically all danger eliminated. Suggestions or criticism will be welcomed, but must be. made direct. to the committee, not to the groundsman .
