KING'S THEATRE.
THURSDAY AND FRIDAY. The combination ol drama, laughter and romance that Damon Runyon introduces in his inimitable fiction, now - showing at the King s Theatre with Metro-Goldwy 11-Mayer s adaptation of his prize winning story, “Three Wise Guys.” Robert Young and Betty Furness have the romantic leads. The supporting cast consists of Raymond Walburif. Thurston Hall, Bruce Cabot, Donald Meek. Herman Ring, Harvey Stephens and Harry Tyler Harry Rapf was the* producer, and George Seitz directed. Iho story relates the adventures ol a rich man's son who strolls from his father's private car on a de luxe train to encounter a beautiful girl in a forward coach. Sharing feature honours with Wallace Ford and Phyllis Brooks. Brian Donlevy. who made his screen debut- as the* murderous heavy of “Barhary Coast.” portrays the gangster. Ford, as the studio publicity director, gives high response* to the story when he interrupts a hectic* loniance with Phyllis Brooks, and imperils both in an attempt to make a- sensational publicity “gag” out of the* kller’s capture.
