FARMERS’ UNION MEETING. The annual meeting of the Pongaroa branch of the Farmers’ I nion was held in St. Andrew’s Hall on Monday night. There was a poor attendance. Officers elected for th*e ensuing year are: President, Mr J. V . .Murray (re-elected); vice-presi-dents. Messrs D. V . Gray, S. F. Herbert and D. R. Hall (re-elected); committee, Messrs A. It. M ason, E. Meech, F. Ware lie snr., J. Riddell; .secrotary, Air I). McDonald. It was decided that the* executive meetings to lie held on the first Tuesday of each month. There was a good attendance at the meeting o-f the Pongaroa. branch of the Young Farmers’ Club, held in the Council Chambers on Monday evening. It being the end of the financial year the usual business was transacted. The programme for the forthcoming year was discussed and arranged under the able direction of Air Damont, of Masterton.
