PROPOSED LEVY IN N.Z. Electric Telegraph—Tress Associatio* CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. Messrs E. McLeon (Wellington), W. Newsham (Auckland) and C. C. Holland (Christchurch) were appointed to-night by the New Zealand team for Australia next year owing to the inability to act of Messrs R. L. Thompson and S. G. Hollard, M.P. A sub-committee was set .up to consider the imposition of a levy on all players to send a New Zealand team to the Olympic Games at Tokio in 1940. It was recommended that a levy of one shilling a year be made on all players of the ago ot 16 years and over. The recommendation was referred to a special meeting of delegates for tho necessary alteration to the rules.
