BRITISH WHALERS AFTER ALL. Electric Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, Last Night. The vessels which caused such a sensation when they were sighted off Wilson’s promontory on Monday morning in single-file formation and were first believed to be ships of war were the British whaler Auglo-Norse with her attendant brood of six small chasers The vessels are bound for the Antarctic for tho whaling season, and are expected to reach Wellington on Monday or Tuesday next, remaining here tor repairs and overhaul.
