THE STOCK RING.
YESTERDAY'S FEILDING SALE. EWE MUTTON IMPROVES. There was a- good all round yarding of stock at the Feilding sale with business generally briglit. In the fat sheep section ewe experienced a slight improveon late rates, but generally valwere steady. The best of the hogget mutton realised firm rates. The beef market was very active with a choice offering of mostly female lines which sold at late rates. A few bullocks sold readilv up to £ll. The entry of store sheep was made up of hoggets with prices varying according to quality and condition. The demand was firm and the offering was all sold under the hammer. Reserves were somewhat high to permit of free selling of station cattle in the store pens, but from the enquiry it was anticipated that the offering would be disposed of by private treaty. Sales made under the hammer were at fully up to late rates. The dairy cattle market continues very active with keen buying for quality heifers.
