SINGING STARS SCORE IN NEW MUSICAL#. Paramount's ‘Give L’s This Night,” a charming musical romance co-starring Jan Kiepura and Gladys Swarthout. opens to-night at the King's Theatre. Bringing together ;>> it does two <*i the most talented and attractive singing stars of the day, it s safe to predict that it will probably be remembered as the outstanding musical film of the season. Singing popular numbers and acting a story that has more charm and appeal than anything comparable sec'n in months, Kiepura ami Miss Swarthout are superb. They are assisted by Philip Me ri vale, noted stage star who makes his movie debut in the film and Bennv Baker, the chubby comedian who gets laughs merely by’ walking into a scene. Kiepura makes his American movie debut in “Give L's This Night,” and proves even better than in “Tell Me To-night.” the European picture in which he starred a’ couple of seasons back. Miss Swarthout. who came from the Motropolitan Ojiera to the screen in “Rose oi the Rancho,” is likewise lovelier than ever. No less than six songs Are featured in this bright musical. Tho songs are: “1 Mean to Say’ I Love You.” “My Dove ami I.” “Sweet Melody of Night,” “Music in the Night.’* “Laughter in the Aip’ and “Was There Ever a Voice.”
