GIFT EVENING.

HUKANUI FUNCTION. A kitchen tea was tendered Miss X. Gray last week, there being a large attendance. Miss Gray was the recipient of many useful gifts. Presentations were made by Mr A. Lawrence on behalf of the Tennis Chib and Mrs Watson for the Institute. Electrical recordings provided the music for dancing, and a most enjoyable time was spent by all. The marriage of Miss Gray to Mr W. Hirst is to take place at Wellington on Thursday.
