“Time impairs what is false, but strengthens that which is true.” Miss J. Rutherford was the winne r of the ladies’ competition at golf on Saturday. The United Dairy Company, Ltd. (Wocdville), has made a sale of I(HX> boxes of butter at Is 29-16 d per lb. f.0.b., Wellington. There was a fair attendance at tlie local euchre party held in the Mangahao schoolroom on Friday night. The ladies’ prize was won by Mrs O. Hercock. and the moil’s by Mr Clarry Hansen. Of great interest to all lovers of fashion is the pre-view of New Season’s Spring Millinery at the Wairarapa Farmers’ Co-operative Association. A special' feature is the new Jack Tar Straw, undoubtedly the latest millinery vogue, made from fine stitched cellophane braid. Many revolutionary shapes are showing and a visit to this popular advance showing will be amply rewarded.
