RUN OVER BY TRAIN.

UNEMPLOYED MAN'S DEATH. Electric Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND, Last Night. Run Oxer by the wheels of the carriage of a suburban passenger train at Otahuhu station early this morning, Richard Edelsten, aged 54, an unemployed motor painter, of Otahuhu, was killed instantaneously*. Edelsten had left his home shortly before 8 a.in. to travel to Auckland by train. As the 8.18 was moving slowly from the island platform EdoLsiteii was seen running across the lines of the eastern sidings tpward the rear carriage. On feeling unusual bumps the guard signalled the train to stop and the body of Edleston was found on the ilne. The wheels of the last carriage had pass- , eil over his chest. Edelsten, who leaves a wife and two children, was a returned soldier, having served with the Australian forces during the Great War. jB $
