DEATH OF MR. F. TAYLOR.
WELL-KNOWN AKITIO RESIDENT. Death has removed another of the East Coast identities in Mr Frederick Taylor, of Akitio, who expired suddenly last week whilst being conveyed to the Pongaroa Hospital. Deceased had suffered a heart attack about two 1 tours previously. The late Mr Taylor, who at the time of his death was 76 years of age, was a sen of the late Mr Waring Taylor, merchant, of Wellington, and before the construction of the Akitio river bridge acted as ferryman for a number cf year>. For the past 40 years he had acted as postmaster at. Akitio. A man of excellent qualities, ne was highly respected by all The late Mr Taylor married Mrs E. "Miles, of Palmerston North, about 20 years ago. and is survived bv Jiis widow and two step-daught-“ti-S. The funeral took place at Pongaloa on Friday last and was attended by a number of his friends of the coast district. The pah-bearers were Me>srs C. P. Hunter. J. Armstrong, P R. Kent. P. A'.
