C HILD DROWNED IN DIP
Electric J elegraph—Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. The two-year-old son of Mr Alt Brustad, of Waiau, a tormer guide well known to .Alt. Cook tourists, was drowned in a sheep dip at his father’s home to-day. The child was with his lather in the woolshed and was unobserved for a. few minutes. He was iouiid ten minutes later in flu* sheep dip. Resuscitation measures failed to restore anim.ition. A doctor was called immediately but the child was dead. Tlie child’s mother, who was wellknown Ly her maiden name as Miss Aroha Clifford, one of New Zealand's first women fliers, died when the baby was born.
