INCREASE IN STAKES. (Received 10.33 a.m.) United Press Assn. —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, This Day. The Australian Jockey Club decided to increase the stakes for the Rand wick summer meeting by £IOOO. Two hundred and fifty pounds were added to the Summer Cup and the remaining seven hundred and fifty distributed among the minor events. The -smallest prize for a flat race will be four hundred pounds. The recent spring carnival was the most profitable- for years.
