A SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION. The anniversary of the Methodist Sunday h«««,I was celebrated on Sunday last, tbe special preacher for the occasion the Rev. H. Benny, ol Eketahuna. The children had been trained by Mr J. J BoaKey and they acquitted the niselves very well. Oil Monday eveniuj; an enjoyable concert, was held, the progia;iuiu being provided by the children. Th,iterns were as follows:—Two hymns, by the children; pianoforte -, >t Shirley Clarke; Little Red Riding Hood. Isobel Gunn and Keen Borens; recitation, IMti Gunn; W„- \\ illie Winkell_ infants; hoop drill by eirls ; recitation. Shirley Clarke; Caller Herrin’. Miss Gardner’s classsms. Ida and Jean P* aroey; Mate's Sick Doll. Shirley Clark, and Dennis Barrett ; Little Mr Rangy Breeches. Miss E. KcastX class; pianoforte solo. Mavis Barrett ; dialogue Mrs Maloney ct nsiilts the Doctor. N.iurv Gunn and Evelyn Wilson; Xivner Minstrels. Junior Rihlc Class; imitation. Ida Poareev.
After the conceit prizes were distributed and this was followed hr supper.
