Prominently east in the supporting roles are* Katharine* De Alillc, a lecent acquisition of the screen *. Libby Taylor, Warren Hynicr and Stuart Holmes. And, furnishing a background of entrancing rhythms for Aliss West’s songs, are Duke Ellington and liis orchestra. The whole* is sumptuously and elaborately set in a care*l’ul reconstruction o 1 the dazzling New Orleans of the* latter part of the* last century. Ihe costumes are* among the most beautilul ever seen on the screen. Outstanding supports include American Overseas News, British Overseas News, Paramount Pictorial (novelty), “Old Kentucky Hounds” (variety), “The Baclio Announcers* Review'* 1 (musical revue) ancl “Little Dutch Alill” (a magnificently coloured musical cartoon).
