HUIvANUI closes season

The wind-up of the Hnkanui Miniature* Rifle Club took the form ot a euchre tournament and dance, held on October I ltli. A very onjoyable time was spent by a ' large number of residents of the district, pi lzes being won at the card tournament by Mrs J. Gardiner (first for ladies) and Air W. Udy (first for men), while Aliss J. Gardiner was the runner-up for the ladies and Mr '» • Coster for men. Air \Y. Twentyman won a. special prize. During the evening Mr C R Eddie, the president of the ‘ Rifle t lub, presented the trophies won during tile shooting season as follow: Championship, presented bv Air C. R. Eddie, won bv R AV Foss; handicap aggregate, presented by Mr A. J. Fair weather, won b.v AV - AA atkins; boys’ championslup, presented by Air C. Coster "on by I>. Gardiner; boys’ runner"lb von by Colin Sutherland; Airs Eddm s trophy won by R. AV. Foss; R Haldy s trophy, won bv AA AA atkins; Air A. G. Parker’s trophy, won by C. R.
