PROPHECY CAME TRUE.
A pi.'opheey by Mr W. .Goodfellow that lile re would lie a substantial rise ill the price of New Zealand butter and that Germany Would begin to purchase the produce, received ah unusual tribute from the Auckland provincial executive of the New Zealand Farmers’ ITiion on Wednesday. The president, Mr H. (>. AXellsop. said the prophecy was made by Mr Goodfellow last year, and he thought the accuracy of the forecast deserved a compliment. Ou his motion the executive decided to forward its congratulations to Mr Goodfellow for his prediction.
