A meeting cf the committee of the Pahiatua Horse Sports Club was held the other night to receive the bal-ance-sheet on the inaugural meeting held on the racecourse on Easter (Monday. The sum of £4l Is lOd profit was disclosed and rhis was considered highly gratifying. . A hearty vote of thanks" was pa ssed to the Racing Club for the free Use of the course, all helpers and supporters, and, a . fitting presentation was made to the energetic secretary, Mr Stuart Taylor, for Ids services.
