MEN’S QUALIFYING ROUND (.By “Mid-Iron.”) The first of three qualifying rounds for ladder positions, was played last week-end on the Pahiatua Golf Course, but in spite of ideal conditions tin- scores returned were verv poor indeed. J. G. Swainsou can still more than hold his own with the jouiig bloods and when it conies to serious business he is streets,' ahead of, the next group of players, who are usually struggling to keep in the low eighties.
