TENNIS MATCH.

NIRE AH A—HUKANUI. A tennis team from Hukanui played a friendly match with a Nireaha team and with playing conditions almost perfect a very interesting contest resulted. Nireaha, playing their best gapie of the season. ran out comfortable winners by 16 sets to 8 and 121 games to 94. A pleasing result of tlie match was the improved form shown by the junior inembers of both sides, this promising well for future seasons. Following are the results (Nireaha players being first mentioned) : Ladies’ singles: Miss J. Payne beat Miss D. Lawrence, 6—3; Mrs Lozell lost to Miss R. Parker, 3—6; Miss I. Spring 'beat Miss A. Lawrence, 6—2 ; M.rs Terry lost to Miss R. Harrington. I—6; Miss M. Payne lieat Miss R,. Eddie, 6—2; Miss S. Hooker beat Miss R. Harrington, 6 —3. Men’s singles: B«. Lozell beat R. Udy, 6—2; R. Lawrence beat R. Foss, 6—4; G. Welch lost to Rex Udy, 4—-6; B. Dick beat D. Blair, 6—3 ; E. Terry lost to C. Lawrence, 4—6; C. Rishop lost tG N. Goodin, 4 6. Ladies’ doubles: Miss J.
