PAHIATUA STATION INCREASE

The returns for the Pahiatua Railway Station for the financial year ended March 31 si, 1934, show increases over the previous year for business outwards. A total of 4.772 passenger tickets was issued compared with 3,152 in 1933 and eight season tickets as against seven. Cattie railed totalled 7,777 compared with 5,442 and sh.eep 80,913 as against 71,840 in 1933. The tonnage of ordinary goods dispatched was 2.865 for 1934 and 2,419 in 1933. On the revenue side passenger receipts amounted to £1,066 compared with £762 the year before. Parcel receipts totalled £289 as against £243. and ordinary goods returned £7.687 compared with £6,654 in 1933.
