BOY FOUND DEAD.

PEA-RIFLE BESIDE BODY. Electric Telegraph—Press Association INVERCARGILL, Last Night. Gilbert Edward James Butler, a schoolboy, aged 13, living with his parents at Balfour, was found dead this morning. A pea-rifle with a discharged cai’tridge was lying beside the body. The circumstances indicate an accident.

SUDDEN DEATH. John Tapiha Beaton, aged 38, married, of Oaro, near Kaikoura, who had been spending a holiday with Air A. Heberley, Oyster Bay, Tory Channel, went for a walk along the hillside and dropped dead from heart failure, states a Blenheim message.
