The harvest thanksgiving of St I etor s Anglican Church. was observon Sfunday. It had been decided to send all gifts of produce to the lvev. 1 . The (11 u rcih was beautifully decorated u'tli masses ol flowers aiul all the offerings were displayed on tables at either side of the Altar.
At the U a.m. service the Scouts paraded and there was a good congregation to join in the Thanksgivmg. lie Vicar (Rev. V. A Bianchi) preached front the text. *■ I am the bread of life. At Evensong. beS'des j lie harvest hymns the cllnur Sjtitg the nil them ‘-Praise the Lord Q Jerusalem.’’ and the Rev. P. Wiltshire preached a very fine sermon from the text 1 Cor. 3-15, during which he emphasised the true spirit ot giving with regard to the Church tiiici not only oil .special occasions A very fine and uplifting service concluded with the hvm.i “Now thank w e all our God ”
