DEFENCE GIVEN MASTERY. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copy r i gh t. RUGBY, February 8. During the House of Commons debate last night Captain A. S. Cun-ningham-Reid revealed that a new British aeroplane, capable of climbing 20,000 feet in nine minutes, had giv2 en defence mastery of attack and had changed the whole problem. Such planes were of no use for aggression.

The aeroplane referred to is tb« Hawker Super Faery, and it is claimed that it can go practically straight up like a lift.
