ACCIDENT AT OAKURA.
THREE NURSES IN CAR. A LUCKY ESCAPE. A five-seater Buick sedan car was •extensively damaged as the result of an accident on the Oakura Hill but fortunately its occupants—three nurses from the New Plymouth Hospital—escaped serious injury. The car was a hired one, and was travelling in the direction of Oakura, and on the first bend on the hill on the New Plymouth side the ear suddenly swerved and ran up the hank and then toppled right over on to its hood. All the front of the car was badly damaged; the bodywork immediately alongside the driving wheel was completely smashed. Mr and Mrs Cox were on the scene almost at once, and they gave all possible assistance to the nurses, who were brought into New Plymouth, where they received medical attention. Each suffered abrasions and slight shock, hut were extremely fortunate to escape serious injury.
