MOTOR ACCIDENTS.

CAR PASSTNGER killed. Electric Telegraph—Press Assoeiation CHRISTCHURCH, Januarv 1. James Gibson, motor garage proprietor at Kaikoura, aged 61, was killed in a motor accident at Kaikoura early this morning. A small two-seater car driven by Francis Hendry collided with an electric power pole on the Esplanade, and Mr Gibson. who was a passenger, was thrown on to the road. He received severe heod injuries, death bein<* instantaneous. Air Hendry and another passenger were not injured. COLLISION WITH TRAM. Two men were taken to hospital as result of o collision between, a motor-cycle and sidecar and a tram m Wallace Street. Wellington. on Saturday evening. Mr E. Morris, mechanic, Vivian Street. fractured his right wrist, and received abrasions and shock. His companion. Air C.
