TO PLUCK A DUCK OR FOWL.
(1) I irst wt the bird and put in a wet sugar-hg. Place in a hot oven for hall an bur, when the feathers will rub off qite easily. (2) Place apiece of' washing soda about the fr oi walnut in the kettle of bding water. Allow to dissolve, thei pour over fowl. This wil make the pluck ing much easier.
