UNSATISFACTORY POSITION

J. llcakes, when discussi.no:. yesterday agricultural conditions in the Dominion during the year now drawing to a close. “The figures for artificial fertilisers delivered for the period JanuaryOctober, in the years 1929 to 1933. are as follow: 383,000 tons, 348.000 tons, 268,000 tons, 353.000 tons and 269,000 tons, respectively. The actual quantitative position is unsatisfactory especially when the increase in the total milking herd during the period discussed is appreciated.”
