ACCIDENT TO OFFICER.
A rather nasty accident occurred on the Napier road, near Woodville. It appears that a naval petty-officer who was on shore leave from one of the warships at present visiting New Zealand, was jiassing through Woodville towards Dannevirke, when an accident occurred to tlie ear in which lie was driving with his sister. There were no witnesses of tlie event, but it appears that the car was driven off the road by some means and the sailor precipitated through the windscreen. Mr G. A. Davidson, o? Hopeiands, who happened to pass after the accident, c-onveved tlie injured man, and his sister, who miraculously escaped injury! into Woodville where lie received medical attention.
