YOU CAN'T GET NEW FEET.

SO CHOOSE BABY’S SHOES CAREFULLY.

The human foot should be a thing of beauty and a joy for life, so from the very beginning baby’s feet should be watched and his footwear carefully chosen. When he begins to walk he needs special care. Perhaps you have seen a baby’s chubby little foot pressed into hard leather slippers which cut into the foot across the instep, while the strap would hardly meet across ? Those shoes were never intended for a child under two or three years old. Don’t buy them—a baby’s foot should never be crammed into shoes or boots that will restrict their growth. It is, of course, impracticable to allow the child to toddle about barefoot, but his footwear should be as soft as possible. People often buy their children’s shoes by size, without taking the children to be fitted. This is very unwise, for shoes that are slightly too big or too small may cause endless discomfort.
