NAVAL PROTECTION.
FORCES FOR CUBA. FOREIGN LIFE AND PROPERTY. (Received 9 a.m.) United. Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. WASHINGTON, September 5. The warships of the United States Navy were ordered to Cuba to-day with forces of marines and bluejackets capable of providing respectable landing forces. It was emphasised that intervention in Cuban affairs was not desired, but the forces being sent are expected to protect foreign life and property.
