N.S. WALES CROPS. SERIOUS FLOODS ELSEWHERE. (Received 10.40 a.in.) United Press Assn.—B\ Electric Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, Tins Day. Rains in south and central New South Wales have practically assured good wheat crops, which the recent frosts and westerly winds had made doubtful. A motor car was washed down the Platt river near Clare, Souh Australia, two. children were drowned.

The townships of Ncarlunga and Port Denison are partly submerged. Sandbags were used to keep the flood back at Underdale, a suburb of Adelaide. Rivers in Victoria are rising and floods are already reported in a number of townships and others are expected. The Ovens river at Wangaratta rase to the seventeen feet level, or one foot over the recognised danger level.

Warnings liav been issued in many places for people to evacuate the lowlying spots
