The townships of Ncarlunga and Port Denison are partly submerged. Sandbags were used to keep the flood back at Underdale, a suburb of Adelaide. Rivers in Victoria are rising and floods are already reported in a number of townships and others are expected. The Ovens river at Wangaratta rase to the seventeen feet level, or one foot over the recognised danger level.
