While the latest reports from Shantung report that the tloods there are l*ecoming worse, foreign advices from Hunan give details cf the neuliavoc caused by the Yellow River. Over 500 villages in a single district have been inundated. 300.000 people are homeless, and are w :thout food and clothing. Crops are completely ruined. Shansi is also suffering terribly. The water in one town is lo feet- deep, causing the collapse of hundreds of houses. It is estimated that 2000 lost their lives by drowning.
