NAZI STORM TROOPER. REFUSED TO SALUTE. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright LONDON. August ,18. The Berlin correspondent of the Daily Mail states that the American Consul has strongly protested against a Nazi assault on an American, Dr Daniel Mulvihill. whom a Nazi Storm Trooper violently struck on the face because lie refused to salute a Nazi detachment which passed while Dr. Mulvihill was standing in the TJnter clen Linden. The consul has informed the German Government that if there are further cases of an insult or maltreatment of Americans the United States Government would warn Americans not to come to Germany. A Frenchman was similarly assaulted in Berlin last week. DRIVE ON AUSTRIA. CAMOUFLAGED AEROPLANES. LONDON, August 18. The Vienna correspondent of the News-Chronicle says the German Nazis arc reported to be camouflaging German aeroplanes as Austrian for future use in dropping seditious literature in Austrian territory. It :s stated that the machines will be piloted by Austrian emigrants, thus avoiding a charge that Germany js violating Austrian independence.
