MOTORIST SENT TO PRISON.

DRUNK AT THE WHEEL. Electric Telegraph—Press Associations INVERCARGILL, August 17. Hugh Healey, aged 58, was to-day sentenced at tlie Supreme Court on a charge of negligently driving a motor-car while intoxicated and causing death, to twelve months’ imprisonment with hard labour, and his driving license was suspended for four years. Tlie judge remarked that intoxicated motorists were a menace on tlie road, and he must impose a sentence that would act as a deterrent.
